How we handle the information you share with us through this website.
Last updated: 7 September 2026
Who we are
ISA Design is a metal fabrication business based at . We make ironwork, stainless steel and aluminium for homes, boats and one-off commissions across Malta. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us on or at .
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us:
- Enquiry details — your name, phone number, optional email address, the type of work you are asking about and the message you write. These are entered into the form on our Contact page and sent to us through WhatsApp when you press send.
- WhatsApp messages and calls — if you message or call us directly, we hold that conversation and your number so we can answer you.
- Basic technical information — our web server records standard request information such as your IP address and browser type, which is what allows the website to be delivered to you and kept secure.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive personal information. This website is not intended for children.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To answer your enquiry and quote for work — because you asked us to, and because it is in our legitimate interest to respond to people who contact us.
- To carry out work you order — to perform our contract with you.
- To keep records required of a business — for example invoices and accounts, where the law requires us to.
- To keep the website working and secure — our legitimate interest in running a functioning, safe website.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we never sell them.
Who sees it
Your enquiry is seen by the people at ISA Design who deal with quotes and work. Beyond that, information is shared only with:
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd) — the Contact form sends your message through WhatsApp, so WhatsApp carries and stores that conversation under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Our hosting and IT providers — who keep the website running on our behalf and act only on our instructions.
- Authorities or professional advisers — only where the law requires it.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept while the conversation is live and for a short period afterwards in case you come back to us. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep business and tax records. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted.
Cookies
This website uses only what is necessary to work, plus one small item stored in your browser to remember the cookie choice you make in the banner. Optional cookies — for example anything used to measure how the site is used — are not set unless you accept them in that banner, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. You can also ask us to send it to another provider where that applies. Contact us on or at and we will deal with your request.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta (idpc.org.mt).
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date shown at the top.
